Lean Six Sigma - One Day Awareness Programme
Introducing Lean Six Sigma
This highly participative programme introduces the key concepts and benefits of Lean Six Sigma, and presents the participants with a range of tools and techniques that can be applied both in improvement projects and day to day operations.
The programme also includes a brief introduction to the importance of the ‘softer skills’ needed for successful projects and change.
It is a ‘stand-alone’ programme, but for people with limited awareness or understanding of the topic, it also serves as an ideal pre-requisite to our four-day Green Belt Foundation Programme.
Who should attend?
Public and Private Sector Leaders, Managers and Change Agents who want to gain an insight into how Lean Six Sigma can transform performance.
What will you gain?
The programme covers a range of important aspects including:
- The concepts, philosophy, and benefits
- The underlying principles
- An overview of how Lean Six Sigma is typically undertaken in other organisations
- Project selection
- A walk through the Lean Six Sigma Improvement Journey*, providing practical hands on experience for a range of supporting tools, techniques, and concepts
* The Lean Six Sigma Improvement Journey follows a tried and tested eight-step improvement process, mapped against the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control) methodology. This is the broadly adopted approach for improving existing processes.
The programme also includes a brief overview of the separate approach used for the design of new processes or products, DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyse, Design, and Verify), but the focus is on DMAIC.
Where possible, the syndicate sessions enable the participants to work on their real workplace problems and issues, so it is helpful if they come to the programme with a specific problem in mind.
