Awarding the title Green or Black Belt depends on delivering business benefits through using the LSS approach ie not just attending training. In-house this would be the company's Master Black Belt assessing use of approach and project champion assessing business benefit. Externally, the course aligns with the British Quality Foundation independent certification process.
Green Belts must complete 1 project to be certified. Black Belts 2 projects.
